Playing song from Terminal in Linux

Now a days we always use GUI but Terminal is our guy for doing any heavy work, not just heavy work but also doing any work smothly. Many people question about how they can play song from Terminal. For playing song form Terminal you need to install a song player for your Terminal. The player name is SoX . It supports wav, mp3, mpg, ogg, flac, etc. Ok lets begin the show, lets see how you can install SoX and play song from Command LIne.

Step 1: Lunch the Terminal press (Alt+Ctrl+T)

Step 2: After lunching Terminal type  sudo apt-get install sox

Step 3: Provide your password and hit Enter.

Step 4: It will ask your permission to continue then type "Y" and hit Enter to continue.

Step 5: After installation sox run this command below to make SoX play any song
             sudo apt-get install sox libsox-fmt-all

Step 6: Now play the song just Open the Terminal and type:
             play (here is the song name).mp3
